First Iranian ship docked at Libyan port after 10 years
TEHRAN, Jul. 16 (MNA) – Iran's embassy in Libya announced that last Wednesday, the first Iranian ship docked at Libya's Misrata Port after nearly ten years.

India’s Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways has announced that the country will build a new container transshipment terminal, the Galathea Bay Transshipment Port. In a statement, the ministry said a transshipment hub in India would “attract Indian and regional transshipment traffic from the current hubs, save significant revenue loss, reduce logistics inefficiencies for Indian trade, reduce risks to the country’s export competitiveness and create an opportunity for India to become a large hub for Asia-Africa, Asia-US/Europe container traffic trade.”

Yilport makes first African foray

Shanghai Continues as Largest Container Port Handling 47M TEU  in 2022
Shanghai retained its position as the world’s busiest container port for the thirteenth consecutive year in 2022 despite emerging challenges from other ports including in China and Singapore’s new Tuas facility which began operations in 2022. Preliminary figures from Chinese officials show that Shanghai’s overall container volume remained stable for the year which represents a significant recovery from the spring of 2022 when volumes were constrained by lockdowns in the city and restrictions on the movement of trucks and cargo.
