PMO News Portal - Speaking during a meeting with a Tajik delegation, Ghasem Asgari-Nasab, Director-General of Ports and Maritime Affairs of Sistan and Baluchestan Province, emphasized that Chabahar is equipped with the infrastructure and capacity to support large-scale foreign investment.
“We are fully ready to host foreign investors, particularly from neighboring countries,” Asgari-Nasab stated. “Chabahar is undergoing significant development to strengthen its role as a regional logistics hub.”
Tajik Delegation Visits Shahid Beheshti Port
The remarks came during a visit by Seydou Mavin, Director of Tajikistan’s State Institute of Transport and Logistics, who headed an economic delegation to explore investment opportunities at Shahid Beheshti Port. Mavin praised the port’s facilities and marine infrastructure, noting the strategic importance of Chabahar for regional transit and logistics connectivity.
Focus on Maritime and Logistics Cooperation
The two sides held discussions on joint cooperation in maritime transport, logistics, transit corridors, and port infrastructure development. Asgari-Nasab highlighted Chabahar’s potential as a secure and accessible route to international waters for landlocked Central Asian countries, reiterating Iran’s commitment to regional economic integration.
