Container Throughput at Iran’s Biggest Commercial Port Surveyed

Shahid Rajaee Port in the southern Hormozgan Province registered 472,933 TEUs in container throughput from the beginning of the current Iranian year on March 21 to July 5, according to a local official.

“Of the total sum, 96,434 TEUs belonged to exports and 138,000 TEUs to imports. Container transit stood at 71,101 TEUs, indicating a 2% rise compared with the similar period of last year,” Alireza Mohammadi Karajiran was also quoted as saying by the news portal of the Ministry of Roads and Maritime Organization.

Container transshipment from Shahid Rajaee to other ports stood at 74,804 TEUs during the same period, he added.
