province, Mohammad Rastad visited the implementation process of the third phase
of the Shahid Rajaei port development project and told reporters: The third
phase of the Shahid Rajaei port development project includes the construction
of three wharfs with a length of 1400 meters which will provide a capacity of
18,400 TEU and increase the competitiveness of Shahid Rajaei port among the ports
in the region.
Stating that the first phase of the Shahid Rajaei port
development plan will be operational within the next two months, Rastad noted that
with the full implementation of the third phase; The nominal loading and
unloading capacity of Shahid Rajaei Port Container Terminal will increase from
6.3 to 8.4 million TEU.
The managing director of the Ports and Maritime Organization
also noted: One of the main features of the container terminal of Shahid Rajaei
Port is that it can berth the highest generation of container vessels, so in
the near future the competitive advantages of Shahid Rajaei Port will be
significantly increased.
