The Director General of Ports and Maritime Affairs of Sistan and Baluchestan: the second batch of the port equipment will soon arrive to the port of Shahid Beheshti as a part of 85 million dollar commitments of Indians in Chabahar port development

PMO News Portal - Behrouz Aghaei stated: according to the investment agreement in Chabahar, India has pledged to import $ 85 million worth of equipment in Shahid Beheshti port. Of this amount, in the first phase, two 140-tonne coast cranes, which are considered to be the most modern and high-quality port equipment, entered this port in February of this year.

Aghaei confirmed the value of the imported equipment in the first phase in Chabahar port as $ 8.5 million and added: with the arrival of this equipment, the annual loading and unloading capacity in Shahid Beheshti port has increased to 20 million tons. The ship carrying the second batch of the equipment, including two 100-ton mobile cranes worth $ 7.5 million, will arrive at Shahid Beheshti port on March 17th, and two more will enter the port in upcoming months.

The Director General of Ports and Maritime Affairs of Sistan and Baluchestan acknowledged: with the arrival of this equipment and due to the capacity created in Shahid Beheshti port, there will be no more restrictions on unloading and loading all kinds of goods.
