PMO’s Extensive investment on marine and SAR service equipment
Referring to the restrictions for the country's maritime industry and economy due to sanctions and the pandemic, Member of the Executive Board and Deputy of Maritime Affairs of the Ports and Maritime Organization, praised the co-operation and co-ordination between the maritime bodies and authorities in order to reduce the effectiveness of the restrictions.

PMO News Portal - in the meeting of the Supreme Council of Senior Managers of the Maritime Organizations, Jalil Eslami stated that the sanctions and the pandemic has seasoned the managerial, human and technical capabilities of marine organizations. With proper coordination among the maritime authorities, we faced the least difficulties and restrictions for seafarers and ships performance.

He mentioned the organization of unregistered vessels as another issue of high importance for maritime bodies and added: There are about 30,000 unregistered vessels in the country and it is necessary to take serious measures to register these vessels

“The most unprecedented investment sofar has been made in the field of marine and SAR service equipment, which will result in better maritime services in ports.”, Eslami highlighted
