PMO News Portal - 2.175 million tons of basic commodities were
unloaded in the ports in the first month of this year (Iranian calendar), while
the figure was 1.968 million tons in the first month of the previous year.
Iran imported 30.9 million tons of basic goods in the past
Iranian calendar year 1400 (ended on March 20).
The amount of unloading of basic commodities including
wheat, barley, corn, soybean, rice and oil in the country's ports was to 2
million 175 thousand 777 tons, which shows a growth of 11 percent compared to
the same period last year.
Foroud Asgari, the deputy head of IRICA for customs affairs,
said that the imported goods were in 25 commodity groups.
The amount of loading of oil goods in ports during the first
month of this year (Iranian calendar) was 2 million 64 thousand 694 tons, the
amount of loading of non-oil goods was 3 million 960 thousand 725 tons and the
total load of oil and non-oil goods is equal to 6 million 25 thousand 419 tons.
