Iran, Kazakhstan to develop multi modal transportation
PMO’s Director General of Transit, Logistics and International Agreements: Given the maritime and port facilities and capabilities of the two countries, there is a very bright future in maritime and port relations between Iran and Kazakhstan.

PMO News Portal - "The main and pivotal approach of the Ports and Maritime Organization in the development of economic cooperation with Kazakhstan is the implementation and operation of multi modal transport, digitization of transport, tracking of goods and logistical issues," Khosrow Saraei said during a meeting with Chairman of the Board of JSC “Sea port of Aktau” Abay Turikpenbaev.

“One of the necessities and requirements for the development of Tehran and Almaty trade relations in is the development of container transport” Saraei noted.

referring to the approach of the Kazakh government to change the direction of trade and maritime transit through Iranian ports, The Director General of Logistics and International Agreements of the Ports and Maritime Organization announced the formation of a working group consisting of representatives of ports, customs and shipping of both countries.

Saraei also noted the lack of Ro-Ro shipping lines as one of the serious issues between the two countries that needs to be addressed.
