Japan ready to increase maritime cooperation with Iran
The Japanese ambassador to Iran expressed hope that the lifting of sanctions would pave the way for the trade and investment by the Japanese private sector in the port of Shahid Rajaei.

PMO News Portal - in a joint meeting with the Director General of Ports and Maritime of Hormozgan, while visiting Shahid Rajaei Port, Ikawa Kazutoshi, Japanese Ambassador to Iran expressed hope that the lifting of sanctions would pave the way for the trade and investment by the Japanese private sector in the port of Shahid Rajaei.

“Strengthening and expanding trade relations with Iran through the port of Shahid Rajaei as an important port in the region can play a significant role in the development of trade between the two countries.” said Ikawa Kazutoshi.

The Japanese Ambassador to Iran called maritime development one of the most important goals of his country and added: "We seek to expand our cooperation with other countries in line with development of smart ports."

Alireza Mohammadi Karaji Ran; The Director General of Hormozgan Ports and Maritime Affairs also highlighted the investment opportunities and advantages of Shahid Rajaei Port.

“80% of Iran's transit is handled through this port. in addition to the modern container equipment, connection to the national railway, Access to Bandar Abbas International Airport, and availability of hinterlands are among the most important advantages of this port.” Mohammadi Karaji Ran added.
