The head of the Department of Basic commodities and Bulk of Imam Khomeini Port Complex: During the first half of this year (Iranian Calendar), 8 million 400 thousand tons of basic commodities entered the port of Imam Khomeini transported by 150 ocean-going ships.

PMO News Portal Mahmoud Hosseinzadeh stated: During the first half of this year (Iranian Calendar), about 8 million and 400 thousand tons of basic commodities have been cleared and transited to different destinations in the country and 2 million and 900 thousand tons of basic goods are currently stores in warehouses of the port, which shows a growth of 40% compared to the same period last year.

Hosseinzadeh said: "Currently, 12 ocean-going ships are unloading at berths and about 32 ships are waiting in line at the anchorage. At present, there is no difficulties regarding the clearance, loading and transiting good to the destinations in the country.
