PMO News Portal - Following the published news about the
abduction of an Iraqi ship in the territorial waters of Iran and the official rejection
of the Ports and Maritime Organization, Nader Pasandeh stated: the
investigation of the issue through MEMAK, which is the reference body for
coordination and handling of issues related to emergencies and marine
pollution, was followed up by the Ports and Maritime Organization.
Emphasizing the urgent investigation of the issue, The
Director General of Maritime Safety of the Ports and Maritime Organization added:
mutual cooperation with regional organizations can be helpful in defending the
rights of the country and ensuring the Safety of waters under sovereignty.
