PMO News Portal - Stating that the Ports and Maritime Organization is one of the most important devices of transportation, all resources of which, including budget and capital, are obtained from revenues, Mohammad Rastad clarified: In the Ports and Maritime Organization, we always seek to take advantage of the capacities and planning programs, quantity and quality wise, along with development of ports to achieve more revenues.

“The development of commercial and small ports, as well as the implementation of port and maritime development plans in the Sixth Plan is seriously pursued. To build the country's port capacities; Ports and Maritime Organization takes important actions on its agenda, the most important of which are; The economic prosperity of the coast, equipping of infrastructure and superstructures of small ports. with such approach; We will see an improvement in economic conditions and job creation in the coastal strip.” Mohammad Rastad further expressed.

It is worth mentioning that the development of maritime infrastructure is on the agenda of the Ports and Maritime Organization, so that the capacity of ports has increased from 180 million tons to 240 million tons.
