No Halt in PMO’s Projects caused by Sanctions and Corona Pandemic
The Deputy of Engineering and Infrastructure Development of PMO: Despite the sanctions and the effects of the corona virus outbreak, no projects in the Organization, either in the construction sector or in the equipment sector, have been interrupted.

PMO News Portal – In the meeting of the managers of the Ports and Maritime Organization, Mohammad Reza Allahyar stated that: although there were delays in progress of development projects of the Ports and maritime Organization due to the problems caused by the increase in the rate of goods and services; they have never been shut down. This year, we have had a 23% growth in the total credit of overhaul projects compared to construction projects.

Regarding the equipment and their operational capacity, the Deputy of Engineering and Infrastructure Development of the Ports Organization added: Surveys show that the electronic, telecommunication, marine and port equipment in all ports are over 90% ready in terms of efficiency and operation. The approach of manufacturing equipment and parts domestically in the country is one of the serious priorities of this organization.

Maximum use of legal and contractual capacities to advance projects, holding project follow-up meetings to tackle problems in a timely manner, and proper and complete loading of information in the CPMS system, are among the priorities in this department; Allahyar highlighted.
